Transcription Aid® for Dragon NaturallySpeaking and Foot Pedal

Transcription Aid® works with Dragon NaturallySpeaking® and enables you to:
  1. Ask a secretary to correct your transcriptions, by comparing the playback of your voice recording with the text transcribed by the application in perfect synchronisation, when pressing a foot pedal

  2. Delegate also in a secretary the crucial task of improving your own User speech files, when she corrects the transcriptions, to increase your accuracy when dictating even further

  3. Transcribe automatically recordings from a dictation application in your PC, any digital recorder whatever their make, Pocket PC, Palm PDA, MP3 player, Smartphone and treat the results as in points 1 and 2.

System requirements for Transcription Aid 5 (as well as NaturallySpeaking®, versions 9, 10 or 11):

  • Microsoft® Windows® XP (SP1 or higher) Home and Professional, Microsoft® Windows® Vista, Windows 7 (32 and 64 bits), or Citrix Presentation Manager 4.5, Dragon NaturallySpeaking 9 or higher
  • Certified USB VEC or Grundig USB Foot pedal for maximum working performance
  • Certified or Grundig digital recorder for automatic transcription of voice recordings
  • A valid license of Dragon NaturallySpeaking Prefered or Professional version 9, 10 or 11
  • Minimum CPU speed 1GHz (2.4 GHz with Intel Pentium IV and 1.6 GHz with Intel Duo Core recommended for good performance)
  • 1 GB RAM or more recommended
  • 1 GB free hard disk space
  • Creative® Labs Sound Blaster® 16 or equivalent sound card supporting 16-bit recording
  • CD-ROM drive (required for installation)
  • Speakers or high quality headset for the secretary (required for playback of recorded speech).
                  
Quick installation guidelines for the Application/Update 5 under Windows XP or Vista:

  1. Install Dragon NaturallySpeaking 9, 10 or 11 Preferred or Professional versions
  2. Connect a supported Digital recorder and Foot pedal to the PC
  3. Install Transcription Aid, reinitialisate and run it
  4. Watch the Video tutorial and read the Manual (Help menu)
  5. Have fun!
